Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival Kunming
Arrive at Kunming. Be met & transferred to your hotel.
Day 02 Kunming- Lijiang ( B, L, D )
Take morning flight to lijiang. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Have city tours to Black Dragon Pool. This park holds the Black Dragon Pool and got name because of it. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools in China because of its beauty. And then, visit Dongba Museum which is sanctuary of the culture of Naxi ancient culture. The next visiting is the Yufeng Temple built in the Qing Dynasty. It is famous for camillias in the temple. Afterwards, wander in the Ancient Lijiang City that was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997. Climb the Wangulou for it provide good views of the Old Town and the surrounding countryside.
Day 03 Lijiang ( B, L, D )
Have a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow and Baisha Murals. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain consists of 13 peaks.Among of them, the highest one is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals. Yak Meadow(Maoniuping) is part of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where the Yi and Zang Monority Ethnic Tribes live. Baisha Murals is that with the spread of the Buddhism, people painted plenty of murals on the walls in temples since Ming Dynasty. Naxi Ancient Music also features wonderful displays of folk songs. Afterwards, to visit Naxi Village where practise Naxi Ancient Music, study the cooking such as buttered tea and Lijiang Pizza. And then, to visit the Longquan Village where the Naxi Minority people live.
Day 04 Lijiang-Hutiaoxia ( B, L, D )
Full day trek. At first, drive 2.5 hours from Lijiang to Hutiaoxia town. And then, you start to trek along Jinsa River. Trek about aroud 8 hours to Halfway Inn for over a peace night in gorge . Have a lunch at Naxi Ya Ge.
Day 05 Hutiaoxia-Walnut Grove Village ( B, L, D )
Full day trek about 7 hours to Walnut Grove Village . On the way, you can enjoy the wonderful view. Overnight at local Guest House.
Day 06 Walnut Grove Village-Haba Gulu Dam ( B, L, D )
Full day trek about 7 hours from Walnut Grove Village towards Haba Village on the Haba Snowmountain. 80 percents of trekking is on the bituminous macadam today. Overnight at Haba Inn which is a inn of Naxi family style. Have a lunch box.
Day 07 Haba Snow Mountaint ( B, L, D )
Full day trek about 8 hours to visit the highest peak in a Haba Snow Mountaint range and the mysterious Black Sea. The distance of trek is according to your energy. Overnight at Haba Inn. Have a lunch box.
Day 08 Zhongdian ( B, L, D )
Drive to Zhongdian. On the way to visit Baishuitai which is the birthplace of Naxi Minirity and their culture-Dongba, a wonder of water and limestone. And then to visit Bita Lake. With abundant fish resources, it lies in the heart of the nature preserve surrounded by mountains covered with ancient pines, oaks and rhododendron. Songzanlin Lamasery which is the most important Lamasery of Tibetan Buddhism in Yunnan province. Tibetan family where you may be welcomed by the Tibetan Tea, snacks.
Day 09 Zhongdian-Kunming ( B, L, D )
Fly back to Kunming in the morning. To visit Western Hills with Dragon Gate which is the natural forest park in Kunming. The carvings on the cliff was made in 1751.
Day 10 Departure from Kunming ( B )
Be transferred to the airport for your next destination.
